Toddlers & Early Learners
Toddler care and Pre-K readiness in Garfield
The years between the first steps and the first day of kindergarten move fast. Our days are built for them: purposeful play, Bible-based lessons, and real early learning in a small Christian home where every child is encouraged by name.
Busy hands, growing minds
Toddlers learn by doing, so the day here is full of doing. Art, stories, songs, hands-on discovery, and plenty of room to move, with a caregiver close by to name what they are seeing and cheer the try that did not quite work yet.
Because this is one small home rather than a building full of rooms, your child is not shuffled into a new class every year. They keep the same teachers, the same friends, and the same routines, so every step, from the baby stage to the year before school, feels gentle here.
- Purposeful play, art, stories, and hands-on discovery
- Bible-based lessons woven through the day, not bolted on
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided every day
- Full-time and part-time schedules, plus drop-in days when space permits
School readiness
Getting ready for kindergarten
Play and readiness are not opposites. Our days follow Arkansas early-childhood standards, so the fun has a plan behind it, and families tell us their children walked into kindergarten prepared and confident.
Learning with a plan
The day follows Arkansas early-childhood standards, so the play has a purpose behind it, and progress is assessed through the year.
Faith in the middle of it
Bible stories, prayer, and simple truths about who God made them to be. You can read more on our faith and learning page.
Getting along with people
Sharing, waiting, listening, and speaking up. In a small mixed-age home, the older children practice patience and the younger ones learn by watching.
Learning that leaves the house
Field trip days take the children out into the world, riding together in safety seats on our bus, and they come home full of questions.
Some of the best lessons start in the kitchen and the garden. The children help pick out seeds, plant food, and make their own snacks, which you can see on our child care programs page.
