Basics
Is there a licensed daycare in Garfield, AR?
Yes. In His Care Children's Center is a licensed family child care home at 18460 Marshall St, Garfield, AR 72732 — Arkansas DHS license #30821. It's a licensed childcare home right here in Garfield.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Where are you located, and which areas do you serve?
We are a family childcare home at 18460 Marshall St, Garfield, AR 72732, in northeast Benton County. Families come to us from Garfield, Gateway, and Pea Ridge, from surrounding communities like Avoca, Little Flock, and the Lost Bridge area, and from just across the state line in nearby southwest Missouri — including Washburn and Seligman. Some families also drive in from Bella Vista, Rogers, and Bentonville for our small, Christ-centered, flexible care.
Programs & Care
What ages do you care for — do you take infants as young as 6 weeks?
Yes. We care for infants from 6 weeks through age 5, and we also offer before & after school care for school-age children.
Do you offer preschool / pre-K to get my child ready for kindergarten?
Yes. Our Bible-based, play-and-purpose learning follows Arkansas early-childhood standards and is designed to get little ones genuinely ready for kindergarten — something families mention often in their reviews.
Do you provide before and after school care?
Yes — we offer a safe, familiar place before the first bell and after the bus, with snacks, homework help, and room to play.
Are meals and snacks included?
Yes — breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided each day, so children stay nourished and ready to learn and play.
Do children go on field trips, and how do you keep them safe?
We do! Field trip days bring real excitement — from indoor play places to hands-on outings. Children ride together in safety seats on our bus, and the adventures spark curiosity and conversation.
Drop-In & Flexibility
Do you offer drop-in or occasional childcare near Garfield?
Yes, when space permits. Drop-in care can be scheduled up to one week in advance — a rare option in our rural area. Call (479) 360-9453 to check availability.
How does drop-in / flexible care work, and how far ahead do I schedule it?
Drop-in care is available at our home when space permits and can be reserved up to one week in advance. It's the same familiar faces and loving home — just for the days you need. Because availability varies, a quick call is the fastest way to check.
Can I use part-time care instead of full-time?
Yes. We have both full-time and part-time openings. Call us and we can talk through the schedule that fits your family.
Quality & Safety
Are you accredited, and what is Better Beginnings Level 6?
In His Care is a nationally accredited family child care home and holds a Better Beginnings Level 6 rating — the highest quality level in Arkansas's state rating system. These are two separate quality recognitions.
Are you licensed, and what is your license number?
Yes — we are a licensed Arkansas family child care home, license #30821, with a licensed capacity of 16. Our most recent state inspection (December 2025) cited no violations.
Who will care for my child — are your teachers qualified?
Your child is cared for by two teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Education, both certified in CPR and first aid — genuine early-learning training wrapped in the warmth of a family home.
Is a licensed home daycare as safe as a big center?
Our small, licensed home means every child is known by name, never a number. We meet Arkansas licensing and safety requirements — a Better Beginnings Level 6 rating, CPR/first-aid-certified teachers, and a home where our door stays open to parents anytime.
Faith
Is this a Christian / Bible-based program, and what does that look like day to day?
Yes — joyfully so. We are a Christ-centered home where lessons and activities are centered around God's Word. Days weave Bible stories and prayer through purposeful play and learning that follows Arkansas early-childhood standards.
