Where children grow in faith, peace, love & joy.

Parent Handbook

Our policies, in plain language

A quick, honest look at how our home runs — how we teach, keep children safe, communicate with families, and welcome you through an open door. The complete, current handbook is provided when you enroll.

Our mission

In His Care Children's Center provides a safe, loving, and enriching learning environment that encourages children to know who they are in Christ — so they can grow into who God created them to be. Learn more about our home and Michelle and our faith & learning approach.

This is a friendly summary. The complete, current Parent Handbook — with all details — is provided to families at enrollment. If anything here differs from that handbook, the handbook you receive is the authority.

Our philosophy & curriculum

We believe each child is uniquely created in God's image, with gifts and callings all their own. Our curriculum is Bible-based and follows Arkansas early-childhood learning standards, with children's progress assessed through the year (CDELS). Faith, play, and learning grow together — you can read more on our Faith & Learning page.

Guidance & discipline

Our approach is gentle and positive — redirection, encouragement, and helping children learn to make good choices. A brief time-out is used only when a child's safety (or another child's) is at risk, and we can connect families with additional support or referrals when needed. The goal is always character and confidence, never shame.

Health, safety & emergencies

Your child's safety comes first. We are a licensed Arkansas family child care home (license #30821), and our teachers are certified in CPR and first aid. We practice fire and tornado drills monthly and keep a written emergency plan on file. As childcare professionals, we are mandatory reporters, and we follow health guidelines to keep everyone well.

Communication & confidentiality

We keep families in the loop about their child's day, and we treat your family's information as private and confidential. Questions or concerns are always welcome — the fastest way to reach us is a call or text to (479) 360-9453.

Enrollment & withdrawal

Enrollment starts with a tour and a simple packet (see Enrollment). A registration fee and an annual supply fee apply — we'll confirm the current amounts with you. If your family's needs change, we ask for a two-week notice before withdrawing so we can plan well for everyone.

What to bring

To keep our home calm and safe, we ask that children bring a few changes of clothes and leave outside toys and outside food at home. Meals and snacks are provided here each day, so there's less to pack.

Inclement weather

When severe weather affects the area, we follow a safety-first plan and let families know about any schedule changes as early as we can.

Our open door

Because this is a family home, our door stays open to parents — you're always welcome to visit your child. It's one of the things families tell us they love most.

Come say hello
